As a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, the creative genius behind Melie Bianco spent many days pulling together affordable looks on a very small budget. One thing learned during the experience was that a great accessory could carry nearly any outfit. While this was challenging at the time, it was ultimately what inspired Melie Bianco. A group of women that longed for a high-end handbag, but just couldn't put it in their budget, was the Melie Bianco focus. I purchased this bag because I had heard Melie Bianco was known for making stylish, good-quality, non-leather bags. Two days after I received the bag, the bottom half of the metal ball closure just fell off - probably poor design. I was very disappointed. The balance of the bag actually did seem fairly well made, although it was quite heavy and bulky. I returned the bag for a refund.
